Taelan Fordring will absolutely stomp everything all by himself on the way out of Hearthglen, keep your disguise on. Once he fights the 4 level 60 scarlet elites, you can take off the disguise and help him by targeting what he is targeting and attacking it, don't use aoe or anything, single target.
